Guardian (121.5)

- Reads the 121.5 MHz frequency and the 121.775 MHz test frequency.
- The Guardian is designed for cost-conscious first responders seeking a Search and Rescue (SAR) tool that focuses solely on locating lost individuals using the 121.5 MHz frequency. This version of the Guardian product line is our most rugged SAR tool and was developed in response to feedback from users who wanted a device without an attached phone. As a result, the standard Guardian does not include an Android phone or the GuardianRDF app.
- Due to the broad nature of RDF antennas (as much as 20 degrees variance), readings from multiple locations must be taken to triangulate the source which greatly increases the search area, and related time, effort, and costs. But not with the Guardian®.
- The high-tech approach taken by GuardianRescue provides a much narrower search band of 3-5 degrees variance with the proper application and RF tuning.
- Weather permitting, line-of-sight testing has proven the Guardian® can locate beacons in at least a 10 mile range.
